Augustus Perkins a lifelong resident of Jersey City and a lifelong member of Christ the King Church departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Gus was an entrepreneur owning along with his two older brothers an upholstery shop in Jersey City for many years. He then went to work for Inland Steel were he retired. He was the beloved son of the late Osborne and Louise Perkins. Loving husband of the late Mildred Perkins. Devoted father of Clifford, Gordon (Yolanda) Jeffrey (Maxine) and Iris Perkins. And the late Gregory Perkins. Grandfather of Crystal, Meia, Tony, Brian, Ashley and Kimberly Perkins. Great Grand Father of Toya, Terance, Donte, Samyiha, Brianna, Brian, Noel, Kylie and Tony Perkins. Great Great Grand Father of 5. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Augustus Perkins name to Christ the King Church, 768 Ocean Ave., Jersey City. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Augustus M.
