Barbara Pearce Rayburn, 83, was born November 15, 1933 in Orlando, Florida. She moved to Sanford when she was six months old, and lived there for 47 years before moving to Casselberry for 36 years. Barbara graduated from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida in 1951 and went on to college. She was a member of Markham Woods Baptist Church for 20 years before becoming a member of Casselberry Community Methodist Church in 2009. At the age of 59, Barbara retired from the telephone company she worked for, for 39 years and used her new found free time to travel. She traveled to the Holy Land and was baptized in the Jordan River. Her travels took her to every continent except South America. Barbara was a proud member of the Eastern Star and served in all star points. She also loved to play cards and would never turn down a game, and was also part of many activated in her Senior Adult Community. Barbara knew the importance of church and made sure her children were in church every time the doors were opened when they were young. She instilled in them the importance of tithing and investing money. Leaving behind a legacy of Christian children and grandchildren. Barbara is succeeded by 2 children, Tom Wade and his wife Debbie of Eastman, Georgia, and Susan Goodling and her husband Dan of Deltona, Florida. As well as 7 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren.
