Barbara Hill Colladay Davis died on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at age 96. She was born and raised in Hartford, CT to Amy Fisher Colladay and Charles Rittenhouse Colladay. Barbara married George Diament Davis, PhD on July 1st, 1950 after meeting him at Yale. She is survived by her only child Leslie Anne Davis. She attended Mrs. Day School and Larson College in New Haven, CT. She worked for the American Foreign Service Auxiliary in the American Embassy in London, England, during WW II. Barbara also worked in Physiology Department at Yale Medical School before and after her assignment overseas. When she moved to New Orleans in 1951 she was recruited by the chairman of pathology at LSU to work as his assistant where she remained until Leslie was born. She volunteered with the Friends of the Cabildo 70’s through 80’s making quilts to sell in their museum shop. She also volunteered at The Quilt Cottage on Nashville Ave until she retired at age 86.



Funeral services will be private on Cape Cod, Mass.
