Barbara J Martin (Née Slattery) 68 years old, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 of natural causes. Barbara was born 10/29/49 in Milwaukee WI to loving parents John and Jeanne Slattery. A bright and playful child, Barb loved playing with her dog at her Milwaukee home and spending long summer days with family in Door County. A graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Barb married the love of her life, Richard Martin in 1978. Barb and Rick spent as much time together as possible; sharing a love of travel, great food, music, movies, and festive Holidays. Barb was as passionate about her work as she was about her family, and was a long-time valued employee of both the M & I / BMO Harris Bank and Roundys Inc. Survived by husband Rick Martin, brothers and sisters in law Mike and Kathy, and Jim and Sandy Martin, as well as nephews, nieces, cousins and numerous close friends. Predeceased by her parents John and Jeanne, her mother and father in law Louise and Eugene, her sister in law Mary, and her loving dogs Pixie, Sammy, and Gabbi. Visitation will be held at Harder Funeral Home Saturday, December 2 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM with a luncheon to follow. Entombment will be Monday December 4th, 10:30AM at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Barb’s love of family and friends was equaled by her love of animals, especially dogs. Accordingly, in lieu of flowers, please donate on Barb’s behalf to the Elmbrook Humane Society. A special thank you to the Brookfield EMT’s, Police Department, and Medical Examiner for their service and compassion.
