Barbara Jean "Barb" Piggott, age 75, of Ringwood, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington surrounded by family. She was born December 10, 1941 in Chicago to Michael and Mary (Dubick) Saczawski. On April 20, 1963, she married the love of her life, Robert J. Piggott, in Chicago. Barb was a resident of Johnsburg since 1975. A devoted employee of Pioneer Center, Barb worked with disabled adults for 18 years. Barb was a gracious woman who will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and huge heart. She loved going out with her girlfriends, and enjoyed vacationing with her family in the Wisconsin Dells. An avid and talented cook, Barb thoroughly enjoyed hosting her family and friends. Above all, she adored being a loving grandmother to her cherished grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Robert; son, Jonathan (Heather) Piggott; grandchildren, Jonathan Jr., Taylor, Carson and Cade; and a brother, Michael (Patricia) Saczawski. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Robert M. Piggott in 2012. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, McHenry.
