Barbara L. Collins (Robinson), Webb City, MO, formerly of Gladstone, MO passed away on July 9, 2017 at the age of 88.

Barbara was born in Kansas City, MO to Lon and Irene Robinson. She graduated from East High School in KCMO. She worked at BMA, where she met Jim Collins and they were married in 1950. They raised three daughters together until his death in 1983. Barbara was a stay at home mom when her girls were young, giving her time to be a room mother, an active member of the Briarcliff PTA and a Girl Scout leader. Her first job after the girls were grown was with the Census Bureau, a job she was very proud to have. She then worked for the NKCSD Adult Education Dept. as a secretary. She enjoyed her varied duties, including arranging activities and day trips for senior citizens. She retired from the school district in 1993 and began volunteering with Youth Friend at Maple Woods Elementary. Nothing gave her more joy than helping children read and write stories. Her final career was filled with travel to fun places with marvelous people as a travel escort for the City of Gladstone, MO. She took many Gladstone senior citizens on bus trips all over the USA. Barbara was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in North Kansas City, MO.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, her brother Lon Robinson and a very special sister Mary Hatchitt. She leaves behind her daughters, Linda Wilson of Borger, TX, Mary Beshears (Rob) of Webb City, MO, Tricia Bagley (Jim) of Gladstone, MO, her brothers, Newt Robinson (Kay) of Stewartsville, MO, Ed Robinson of Cameron, MO, a sister Linda Booker (Hans) of Belton, MO, her grandchildren Tommy Wilson, Marc Wilson (Rebecca), Jeff Wilson all of Borger, TX and Alyssa Jacobs of Kansas City, MO, her great grandchildren Hailey Wilson, Leah Wilson and Bradley Wilson all of Borger, TX, many nieces and nephews and one very special caregiver that is now a part of our family, Karley Barnett of Carl Junction, MO.
