Bernard was born on August 15, 1933 and passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018.

Bernard was a resident of Bennington, Vermont at the time of passing.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a radio operator on Okinawa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 18, at 2 PM at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church, with burial to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. A wake will be held at E.P. Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 7, with a prayer service at 6 followed by time for personal reflections.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Bennington Rescue Squad or Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales School through the funeral home office.
