Bernardo de Ocampo Pacis, was called home by our Heavenly Father on April 25, 2017, at the age of 87.



Visitation will be held Saturday, May 6th, from 1:00 – 2:45pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas; Funeral Service will begin at 3pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.



Bernardo was born in the Philippines on August 12, 1929. He was the youngest of 7 siblings. His parents are both deceased, Patrocinio Pacis and Victoriana Guillermo de Ocampo. His ancestors originated from northern Philippines, the Ilocos province. They subsequently migrated to its neighboring province Cagayan Valley. He was married to Geronima Cabalang Euzala and they have 2 children. He was a very loving and responsible husband and father. His wife died on July 4, 2003 and was interred here at Bluebonnet Memorial Park. Bernardo and Geronima migrated to the USA after their retirement in the Philippines.



Bernardo was a dentist by profession, worked in government and private practice. The de Ocampo and Pacis Families have a long tradition of community service in the Philippines. They donated lands for elementary and secondary schools, and for a college. They held offices as public servants. Bernardo was a Councilman in his town of Abulug.



Bernardo was very passionate for the outdoors. He enjoyed being surrounded by greenery and nature. While working as a dentist and continuing to his retirement years, he spent most of his free time gardening, developing beautiful flower gardens and robust vegetable gardens.



Bernardo is survived by his children: Daughter – Mae Pacis Gonzales, her husband Peter C.W. Gonzales and their son Andrew P.W. Gonzales; Son – Bernardo E. Pacis Jr. (widower) and his 4 children, Jose Bernardo P. Pacis, Bernard Joseph P. Pacis, Julie Ann Marie Bernice P. Pacis , Marie Bernadine Julienne P. Pacis.



Bernardo has only one surviving sibling, Marcela Pacis, his older sister who resides in their hometown of Alinunu, Abulug, Cagayan, Philippines.
