Bernice Bellum Lammert, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Denham Springs, LA, passed away at OLOL on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the age of 93. During WWII, she was a "Rosie the Riveter" for Consolidated Aircraft Corp in New Orleans, LA, assembling the PBY Catalina "Flying Boat." She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3693. She worked for Franklin Press Printing Company for 66 years ("Queen Bee"). She was a faithful member of Gray's Creek Baptist Church in Denham Springs. Bernice is survived by her two children, Fred Chandler and Jackie Braithwaite and husband, Ed; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and brother, Arthur Bellum, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Lammert; son, Jack Chandler, Jr.; two daughters, Anna Walton and Kay Willett; grandson, Henry Thomas Bryant II; great-granddaughter, Bridget Brogan; and her parents, Arthur Bellum, Sr. and Mary B. Freeman. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Seale Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 8 a.m. until Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Felder's Cemetery in Denham Springs, LA.
