Betty Ann Flowers, 88, of Summit Street, Cartersville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Flowers was born January 2, 1929 in Cartersville, Georgia, daughter of the late Clifford Monroe Cagle and Stella Frances Barnett Cagle. She was a self employed produce saleslady and was a lifetime member of the Church at Liberty Square. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Flowers; her parents; son-in-law, Rick Cowart; grandson, Blake Cowart; great grandchild, Journey Ann Cowart; brother, Monroe Cagle; sister, Doroty Jo Cagle.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Johnette (Glenn) Stewart, Barbara A. Cowart both of Cartersville; grandchildren, Todd Cowart, John Tab (Trudy) Abernathy, Dr. Ty Abernathy, MaryJohn (Tony) Chapman; great-grandchildren, Mandi Thomas, Cam Cowart, Karlie Cowart, Anna Chapman, Tennessee Abernathy, Charlie Blake Cowart; great great-grandchildren, Eligh Billot, Allison Deford, Greyson Thomas, expecting Izzabella Rae Cowart in three weeks; 1 nephew, Cliff Cagle; 1 niece, Wanda Cagle Gray.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon May 4th at 3:00 PM at the Church at Liberty Square with Dr. Jacob King, Dr. Joe Edwards, John Tab Abernathy and Dr. Ty Abernathy officiating. Entombment will follow in Providence Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will include Dr. Ty Abernathy, John Tab Abernathy, Tony Chapman, Todd Cowart, Glenn Stewart, Cam Cowart. Honorary pallbearers include Jim Raines.
