Betty Elizabeth Bradley Whisenant was reunited with her beloved husband, Harold and greeted by her heavenly Father on March 23, 2017. She was 91. She was born in Hendersonville to the late James Butler and Elsie Lee Martin Bradley. Her life will be celebrated on Monday, March 27 at 1 PM at First Baptist Church Chapel. She will be entombed at Guilford Memorial Park alongside Harold. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Sunday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel.

She and Harold met at NC School for the Deaf where they were classmates from 1st to 12th grade. In 1946 they married and shared a wonderful union until his passing in 2010. Harold was employed at Greensboro News & Record for 41 years while Betty raised three wonderful children in a loving Christian home in addition to working various part-time jobs. Her love for the Lord was evident in her active 53 year membership at First Baptist Church where she was involved with the Gerald Small Sunday School Class for the Deaf and WMU. Betty's loves were crafting, cooking as well as being a part of her community. Betty loved Christmas and snow.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Jim Whisenant and wife Lisa, Debbie Nunn and husband Eddie and Mark Whisenant and partner Jason Lewis; grandchildren, Matt and Candace Whisenant, Scott and Jennifer Whisenant, Alex and Jacquelyn Whisenant, and Michael Nunn; great grandchildren, Graham and Thomas Whisenant; sister, Ann McCoy; and brother, J.W. Bradley and wife Alice. In addition to her parents and spouse Betty is preceded in death by three siblings, Jim, Gene and Maurice.

The family would like to thank Beacon Place for their wonderful care during Betty's stay. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro. Online condolences may be made at www.haneslineberryfuneralhomes.com.
