Betty Louise Daniels-Wilkinson, 94, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully December 22, 2017. She was born in Allendale, Missouri on December 2, 1923 to parents Oliver Wendell and Helen Daniels (Ackley). Betty graduated from school in Worth County and went on to teach in Hatfield, Missouri for a short time. During World War II she did her part by helping build B-52 Bombers in Farifax, Kansas. Betty was the main cook at Oak Ridge Elementary School in Kansas City for a good many years. In December 1941, Betty married Ross Wilkinson and shared over 60 wonderful years together during which time they welcomed two children, A.R. and Doug. Betty was an outgoing, well known, charter member of Towerview Baptist Church. She and other church members would make quilts to donate to Baptist Children’s Home. Betty was an amazing cook and family always enjoyed her homemade pizzas, lasagna, and chicken & noodles.



Betty is preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Helen Daniels; brothers, Robert Oliver Daniels and Allen Dale Daniels; sister, Hester Daniels Killip; and Granddaughter, Tina Maupin.



Betty leaves behind sons A.R. Wilkinson Jr. (Mary) and William Douglas Wilkinson Sr.; sister, Doris Pittsenbarger; grandchildren, Mary Katherine, Tina Ann, Melodie Ann, Albert Ross III, William Douglas, and Jossie. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.



A visitation will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, December 28 at 10 am with a funeral service to follow at 11 am. Burial will be directly after at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
