Beverly Jean Sweet passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

Born in Concord on September 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Jennie L. (Cozzi) Crutchfield. She graduated from St. John's High School as a member of the National Honor Society in 1952. Following graduation, she became a member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen as a wreath and floral designer. She maintained a lifelong love of gardening and a keen appreciation of the beauty of the natural world. For many years she was employed at D. McLeod Florist.
She maintained her home on School Street for more than fifty years and took delight in being surrounded by neighbors whom she adored. She was an accomplished cook and enjoyed entertaining friends and family at her home. What she treasured most was being surrounded by the loves of her life: her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her youngest daughter, Beth A. Sweet, in 2003. With her family, she established a memorial fund in Beth's name at Riverbend Community Mental Health Center.

She is survived by her daughters Sharon E. Sweet, Martha J. D'Amato and her husband Tony, and Sarah J. Sweet, all of Concord; her son Richard J. Sweet, Jr. and his wife Charyn, of Nashua; and her grandchildren Geoffrey Kirsch, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Emily and Caroline Sweet, of Nashua. She is also survived by her brother David Crutchfield, of Concord; her sister Betty Colt, of Wilder, Vermont; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Crutchfield, in 2008.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 30th at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, formerly St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 South Main Street, Concord. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Beverly's name to Riverbend Community Mental Health Center, to honor her mission of assisting adults struggling with behavioral health issues. (RCMHC, Beth Sweet Memorial Fund, PO Box 2032, Concord NH 03302, or riverbendcmhc.org)
