William Bruce Sweet Sr.
Born November 3, 1929; passed away November 16, 2016 at the age of 87. Bill proudly served as a Tank Division Sargent in occupied Japan and Korea. After his discharge, Bill worked as an Operating Engineer as member of Local 324. Some of his greatest accomplishments include helping to restore the Lansing State Capital building and several projects at Michigan State University (MSU). He was a lifetime member of the VFW and Bath American Legion, and belonged to the County Seat Old-Car club where he loved to share his toys. Bill was proud to always lend a helping hand to friends and family. His legacy of love and service will be remembered by all those who knew him.
Survived by his loving wife of 64 years Marilyn; his little sister (in-law) Jackie; his four sons, Michael B. (Mush), Richard W., Kenneth B. (Eva) and Wm. Bruce (Lisa); eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Breslen Center, especially Therese, and Dr. Joe.

A Graveside Service will take place 1:00 pm Friday, November 18, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bath, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in may be made to the Old News Boys, P.O.Box 14058, Lansing, MI 48901, in memory of Bill Sweet.
