Billie Jean Ford, 79 of Atoka, Tennessee died on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Methodist Hospice House in Memphis, Tennessee.
Born Tuesday, February 1, 1938 in Nebo, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ruble B.LaRue and the late Cora Ann Sowell LaRue. She was a Retired Civil SVC for the Army Corps of Engineers at Millington NAS.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ford will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Sanford Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Yorkville Cemetery in Yorkville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by one son, Steven Ford of Memphis, Tennessee; three daughters, Cheryl Ransom of Atoka, Tennessee, Larissa White of Brighton, Tennessee and Karen Cartagena (Victor) of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren, Tyler Ransom, Kelsey, Lewis, Kara White, Sean Wash, Eric Cartagena, Jesse Cartagena and Marc Cartagena; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Carter and Mia Green and one Uncle, J. E. Sowell of Dyersburg, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death ,on October 2, 2016, by her husband, Jerry M. Ford.
Pallbearers will be Victor Cartagena, Eric Cartagena, Jesse Cartagena, Marc Cartagena, Steven Ford and Eddie Ransom.
