Billy D. Jackson died Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Foxwood Springs Care Center in Raymore, Missouri.





Born November 25, 1933, Oregon County, MO, and raised in St. Louis.



Bill was the son of the late Albert and Fydelia Jackson.





He grew up in St. Louis, MO where he played baseball through High School, at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO and in the Army.



He continued to play ball, bowl and coach throughout his life in Raytown, MO.



Bill's occupations included insurance & food businesses (donuts, onion rings & frozen foods that he delivered to local restaurants).



After retiring, he found he was happiest helping others as a handyman.



He served as a Deacon at Swope Park Baptist Church for several years.





He is survived by his two daughters Julie Jackson, Raymore, MO and Cindy Jackson-Kiley (Steve), Lee's Summit, MO. Bill was



preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Susan.





The family wants to express their sincere thanks to all of you for your support and prayers. Special thanks go to the caregivers at Foxwood Springs Care Center. Over the last several years the staff



became an extended part of our family. The medical techs on the floor, the nurses, and dining staff, all provided wonderful care and attention.
