Crouch, Billy age 84 of Apopka, FL, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 in Orlando, FL following a brief illness. He was born January 11, 1932 in South Charleston, West Virginia, the son of Oma and Roma Crouch.



He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Crouch. He is survived by his daughter Cheryl Crouch of Wilmington, NC; Robert (Tammy) Crouch of Windermere, FL; sisters, Lucille Griffee and Ruth Young; grandchildren, Jason Green and Ashley Welton; great grandchildren, Cameron, Lucas and Kinley Welton.



Bill graduated South Charleston High School in 1949 and went on to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The Ohio State University. He met his wife Joyce Gilliam, and they were married in 1956. He then served as an Officer and Pilot in the US Navy until 1959. His passion for aerospace and piloting stemmed from his early years when he flew seaplanes as a teenager in West Virginia. Bill moved on to a successful career with Martin Marietta as an Aerospace Engineer and a Manager in Systems Engineering that spanned 33 years. He had a passion for bluegrass music and played the 5 string banjo. He also enjoyed hiking state and national parks, and he enjoyed visiting historic US sites. In retirement he volunteered with the Orange County Public Library for 24 years. He was a wonderful husband, brother, father and grandfather, and he was loved by all.



A celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11 A.M. at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Apopka, Florida
