Billy Farley, age 77, of Quitaque, passed away, Monday, November 28, 2016. Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Resthaven Cemetery in Quitaque with Jerry Beck officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Quitaque. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Quitaque.

Billy Mac was born Sept 2, 1939 in Nashville, AR and was #10 of 12 children. He was a Quitaque High School graduate and athlete. He joined the U.S. Army in 1962. After proudly serving his country, he returned to Quitaque in 1964 and lived a while with a sister, Louise, and family. He became a cotton farmer, got a home, married and was a loving stepdad to two little girls. Over the years, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing and watching sports on TV, especially the Pittsburg Steelers & Pirates. Billy Mac believed in God and was a gentle, kind hearted man. While living alone during his elder years, he fostered and cared for homeless dogs.

He was preceded in death by parents (Edgar Jackson & Emma Pearl Farley), 6 brothers (Edgar Jr, Eugene, Glen, Odell, Wendell and Wayne Farley) and 3 sisters (Ethel Osborne, Frances Lingo, Louise Chandler).

Billy Mac is survived by one brother, James Farley, and one sister, Shirley Baugh. Also surviving him are two stepdaughters (Lura Lee Roach, Patricia Lynn Appleby) and umpteen nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tri-County Meals or Resthaven Cemetery at Quitaque, TX.
