Billy Essley passed away peacefully in his sleep at home Saturday, April 15, 2017 after a long illness.

Billy was born Sept. 20,1963 to Donna Jane Kinsall in Wichita, Kansas and was later adopted by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Mary Jane Essley, and lived in Hot Springs since May 26th , 1970.

He attended Fountain Lake and Oakland Elementary schools , Southwest Jr. High, and graduated from Hot Spring Christian Academy.

As a youngster he learned his work ethic in his parents restaurant,The Blue Bell Café, helping after school and on weekends. As an adult he worked at ABC Answering Service , Answer Hot Springs , was a Co-Owner of Essley Enterprises Inc. and dispatcher for Harp Security Inc. all in Hot Springs.

Billy loved his long drives , he would take off and just hit the open road at night and let it take him to where it may just for the shear pleasure. He was an avid reader having read the entire World Book Encyclopedia and anything having to do with survivalist skills, math and computers.

He taught himself computer programming in Basic and OS-9 from books from Robert Wayne's Radio Shack and wrote a three line code for Tandy COCO3 computers that would run a color/pattern changing Kaleidoscopic. He loved to just walk into any Radio Shack type it in let it run and walk out as the employees would just stare at him in wonder.

Billy was well versed in the Bible and at one time considered becoming a pastor. He had a deep belief in God,Heaven, the afterlife, and enjoyed getting into dissertations about this.

Billy was proceeded into Heaven by his Mother Donna Jane Kinsall and his loving adoptive parents Bill and Mary Jane Essley.

Billy is survived his sole-mate and loving wife of 28 years Cheryl Essley;their two furry children Sassy and Brandi; brother Bob (Cathy) Essley ; sister-in-law Melisa (Buddy) Walker ; step-father Chuck Kinsall , nephews Robbie Essley , Cory Shipp , Bobby Stanley; niece Amber Stanley;grand-nieces Kayden , Reagan , Gillian Essley and Aubrie Shipp; and very special friend David Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm April18 at Morning Star United Methodist Church 3200 Spring , Hot Springs Arkansas
