Bobbie Jean Bragg-Lambert was born on November 24, 1943 to Earnest Bragg, Sr. and Annie Bell Bragg in Malvern, Arkansas. She was the youngest daughter of the six children that were born to this union. She was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Centerpoint AME Church in Sparkman, Arkansas for many years. She was a country girl at heart and loved her life on “Hunter Hill”, where she loved to eat teacakes, pick berries, and fish.

In 1961, she entered into the bond of holy matrimony with Thomas Henry Lambert. They left Arkansas and started their married life in Rockford, Illinois, but soon decided to relocate to Southern California. This is where their journey in life together truly began. To this union they were blessed with 12 children, 4 boys and 8 girls. In 1973, she and her husband and their “first set of children” transitioned into a new journey of life after her husband suffered a life-altering accident. She walked with her husband in ministry all while faithfully supporting him and her children mentally, physically, and spiritually. In 1978, she worked alongside her husband as he pastored Morning Star Baptist Church (Holy Ghost corner) in Long Beach, California for more than 18 years. She was very instrumental in starting up several ministries within the church and leading the women. She was an avid Sunday school teacher and was often sought out for numerous speaking

engagements. She and her husband traveled all over the country as he preached revivals.

After retiring from pastoring, they returned back to Arkansas in July of 1996 as she remained a faithful wife to her husband for 43 years until God called him home on April 30, 2004. She accelerated her ministry while continuing to support her children mentally and spiritually, until her home-going on September 18, 2017. She was a classy woman with a fun-loving spirit and was also an extraordinary cook who loved her home. She was a jokester like her daddy, and to know her was to love her! She would often say, “It’s tight but its right” and “You want this knuckle sandwich?”

For the last 15 years of her life, she served as a faithful member to Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Kevin A. Kelly. She had a heart for mission work while continuing to work in the ministry. She obtained her official Minister’s license on January 29, 2017. She was a faithful, praying and virtuous woman who was truly one of God’s humble servants.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Thomas Henry Lambert; son, Daniel Lambert, Sr.; daughter, Portia Leticia Lambert; brother, Earnest Bragg, Jr.; sisters, Billie Faye Brownlee and Annie Lois Hunt; and her parents.

She leaves to rejoice in and cherish her memories, 10 children: Barbara Genelle Brown, Bridget Janine Brown, Minister Thomas Rylette Lambert (Yolanda), Treylon Fern Beasley, Minister Ivan Henry Lambert (Michelle), Sarah Joan Anderson (Reuben), Timothy Tobias Lambert (Keenya), Naomi Lambert, Kimberley Lashae Lawrence (Vernon), and Tiatana Ninette Lambert; 34 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; fiance John Morant; brothers, James and Charles Bragg; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at Second Baptist Church, 1709 John Barrow Rd., Little Rock, AR 72204, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10 a.m., also at Second Baptist Church.
