Bobby Gene (Bob) Lundy, age 77 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away early Sunday morning December 31, 2017. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Charles William and Annie Pearl (Polk) Lundy. Bob was a proud graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned degrees in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Management. He also received his Teaching Certification from Oglethorpe University. He taught high school math at Walter George, Harper, and Forest Park High Schools where he met his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Ellen (Brown) Lundy. Bob was a sales representative for various satellite communications companies traveling

the United States and abroad selling high powered amplifiers to boost satellite

signals to space. A devoted family man, he encouraged his children to be

honest, to do the right thing, to seek new experiences, and to expand their

horizons. He was a constant support to his wife in her church, theater, and

civic activities. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen (Brown) Lundy of Locust Grove; children, Charles

William Lundy of Locust Grove, Richard Brown (Jennifer) Lundy of Asheville,

North Carolina, Alexis Anne Lundy of Atlanta, and Robert Harrison (Allison)

Lundy of Cleveland, Georgia; grandchildren, James, Emma, Andrew, Mae, and Cora;

brother, Jackie Charles (Diana) Lundy of Locust Grove. Bob was preceded in

death by four children, Matthew Polk, Mark Greenwood, Luke Brown, and Leigh

Anne.Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 – 1:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral

Home Chapel. Mike Close and Glenn Stringham will officiate. Interment will

follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. Friends may visit the

family Friday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the service.
