Bonnie Jean Peverill Clark passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2017, in Mariposa, CA.

Bonnie was born on December 28, 1918, in Fresno, CA, the youngest of three children. She married her beloved, Jack Clark, in Fresno on September 9, 1938. After Woirld War II, and Jack's service in the United States Marine Corps, they moved to Avenal, CA in 1948, where they raised their two daughters, Beverly (Henry) and Jacqueline (Long). They enjoyed a long and beautiful 68 year marriage filled with family and friends. Bonnie worked at Finster's as a grocery clerk during the early 1950s, and then onto working at the cafeteria for Avenal Elementary School before retiring to Ventura, CA.

She left a legacy of active community service including terms as President of both the Avenal and Ventura Parlors of the Native Daughters of the Golden West; the Community Presbyterian Church in Avenal; College Methodist Church in Ventura, CA; and at First Marine Division reunions where she volunteered annually. She loved the mountains where she and Jack spent many summers camping and fishing in the Sierras often joined by family and friends. She was a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants and attended many Little League and softball games of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Right up to her passing, Bonnie remained the popular and beloved matriarch of her large extended family, with many traveling to visit her. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack; daughter, Beverly Henry; grandson, Mickey Sills; and great-grandson, Ryan Long. She leaves behind her daughter, Jacqueline Long; son-in-law, Jack Long of Scotts Valley and Mariposa, CA; son-in-law, George Henry of Volcano, CA; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Mariposa Pines Villa for their wonderful care.

A Viewing will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, August 25, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at Belmont Memorial Park 201 N. Teilman Ave., Fresno, CA, at 1:00 p.m.
