Booth D. Jackson, 89, of Littleton, MA, formerly of Acton, MA passed away peacefully at his home on December 2, 2016. He was the beloved father of Richard F. Jackson of Ayer, MA, Steven B. Jackson and his wife, Diane, of Lexington, MA, Mark F. Jackson and his wife, Susan, of Littleton, MA, and Shirley E. Smith and her husband, Michael, of Ayer, MA. He was the brother of Natalie Hollowell of Ashburnham, MA and the half-brother of the late Joseph White and Richard White. He leaves 6 grandchildren, Katherine and Eric Jackson, Brenda Kokobu and Danielle Jackson, Jason Smith and Kristen Callahan, as well as, 4 great-grandchildren, Tate Kokubo, Dallie and Deania Jackson and he welcomed his newest great-grandchild, Ryan Smith, just 36 hours before his death. He was born in Portsmouth, NH, the son of the late Richard and Josephine (Barker) Jackson.
Booth graduated from Concord High School (MA) in 1945 and proudly served in the Navy from 1945-1948. He took his rights as an American to heart, and was honored to have been able to perform his civic duty by voting in the election on November 8th, which was his 17th presidential election. Booth was the principal owner of Booth D. Jackson Electrical Contractors, Inc. in Acton, MA from 1954-1998; he was also employed for 24 years as Littleton’s Electrical Inspector, retiring in 2012. He was a past member of the Acton Lion’s Club and past president of the Acton Rotary Club (1974-1975). He enjoyed golfing and in later years, watching golf. He was an avid boater/fisherman spending many of his years on Lake Winnipesaukee.
A Memorial Service will be held on December 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at The Badger Funeral Home, Rte 110, Littleton, MA. Friends, former colleagues and family are welcome to visit beginning at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Booth’s memory to the Littleton Animal Hospital, 29 King Street, Littleton, MA 01460 who lovingly cared for over 30 years for his beloved Labrador Retrievers, Sam, Samtu and Sammy.
