Boris Kai-Yum Tang, 27, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on April 7th, 2018, in Marietta, GA. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, April 13th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Atlanta Christian Church located at 330 Marietta Street NW, #100 Atlanta, GA 30313. Parking is available across the street from the church building. Boris was born on March 10th, 1991 in Columbia, South Carolina. He grew up in Rincon, GA and was an honor student at South Effingham High School. He moved to Atlanta and received his degree in 2013 in Biology from Georgia State University. He was enrolled in a Master’s program studying Cellular and Molecular Biology at Georgia State University. Boris worked for Lawrence Animal Hospital for six years. He cared very deeply for all animals, but especially cats. He loved his cat, Kitty Cat, for nine years. Boris was extremely talented and had many hobbies. He was very passionate about music and was talented in piano, guitar, and sound engineering. He also loved photography, computers, politics, and video games, just to name a few. Boris’s smile lit up every room he entered. He cared for everyone he met and was known for his funny personality and carefree spirit. Boris loved conversation with anyone on almost any topic. He was extremely smart and curious; he loved learning new things. Boris was an active member and volunteer of Atlanta Christian Church where he played piano and was part of the sound engineering team. He had many close friends in his church that he cared about very deeply, including his small group who were a constant source of support. Boris is survived by his parents, John and Emily Tang, of Rincon and his sister, Annie Tang, of Atlanta. He also leaves behind the love of his life of ten years, Victoria Helmly. Donations will be made to Atlanta Christian Church, Orphan Annie Rescue, and Positive Impact Health Centers from this fund. The family is very grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time.
