Brenda Gaye Harrah Plunkett, 65, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at home.
Born on October 4, 1951 at Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Darrell and Mildred Liberty Myers-Harrah.
Brenda loved spending time at the beach, running and hiking, and spending time with her family and friends. She spent a lot of time doing volunteer work.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Harrah.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories include her husband, George “Mickey” Plunkett; children: Scott Cox and wife, Stacey of Oak Hill, Carrie Kincaid and husband, Phillip of Teays Valley, Shawn Cox and wife, Shawna of Oak Hill, and Heather Vandall and husband, Steve of Mabscott; brothers: Darrell Harrah of Newport News, VA, Gary Harrah and wife, Sandy of Plant City, FL, Larry Harrah and wife, Elaine of Fayetteville, WV, and Michael Harrah and wife, Mary of Oak Hill, WV; sisters: Dreama Coleman and husband, Carlos of Fayetteville, WV, Louise Kaina and husband, William “Lani” of Newport News, VA, and Beverly Workman and husband, Dale of Fayetteville, WV; and grandchildren: Justyn Cox, Carson Cox, Cayden Cox, Dalton Vandall, Blake Vandall, and Ashton Vandall-Terry.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Fayetteville Presbyterian Church with Pastor Mike Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Brenda’s honor to Warm Hands from Warm Hearts-Fayette County, 319 Main Street East, Oak Hill, WV 25901.
