Brett was born on July 5, 1990 and passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

Brett was a resident of South Bend, Indiana at the time of passing.

He was a 2008 graduate of Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, Texas where he was heavily active in theater, student government, National Honors Society, and sports.

A Funeral Mass for Brett will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. A Memorial Funeral Mass for Brett will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21702. Memorial Mass at the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church at 12:00 PM on August 11, 2017. Brett was employed as the Corporate Project Manager by Conn-Selmer, Inc. in Elkhart, Indiana, the largest musical instrument manufacturer in the U.S. He was awarded the highest distinction by the Drucker Forum of Europe for his innovative contributions to management thinking.
