Following an extended illness with cancer, on August 8, 2017, Brice E. Bennett, age 66, passed away peacefully in his home in Florida surrounded by family including his devoted Golden Retriever, Wendy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Cheryl; his son Brian; sisters Marilyn Bennett and Phyllis (Randy) Roediger; 10 nieces and nephews; and cousins Cherlyn Castaldo and Marlene “Jo” Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Betty Bennett, and his brother Everett. At his request, a private service will be held at a later time.



Besides his loving devotion to his wife and family, Brice’s passion was owning and serving as Pit Master in his restaurant – BB’s BBQ Restaurant in Franklin, TN. He graduated from San Jose State and was a member of Chi Pi Sigma Fraternity. He earned his Law Degree in California from Lincoln University. Brice proudly served in Vietnam and received several medals, including the Army Commendation Medal, for his outstanding service in battle. After moving to Florida several years ago, he served as a Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort and truly enjoyed spending time with guests there.



Brice was an Eagle Scout and remained active with the Boy Scouts of America. He was an active member of Optimist International in California. He loved sports and served as referee at college and high school basketball games and enjoyed flying as a private pilot. Brice loved life and people and will be greatly missed by relatives and many friends.
