BRUCE WAYNE GOYNE COX FUNERAL HOME BASTROP, LOUISIANA Bruce Wayne Goyne of Gulfport, Mississippi, formerly of Bastrop, Louisiana, was born June 30, 1952 and he passed away April 21, 2018 in Gonzales, Louisiana. The family will receive friends for visitation between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24th, at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the McKnight Cemetery on Louisiana Hwy 183 near Holly Ridge, Louisiana with Bro. Allan Eppinette officiating. Services will be under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop. Bruce was a graduate of Holly Ridge High School and attended Northeast Louisiana University (U.L.M.) in Monroe, Louisiana before joining the Unites States Army where he served in the military police. He was a project manager for Williams Gas Pipeline and Construction. Most of all Bruce will be remembered as a man devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, father, "Popaw" to his grandchildren, and a loyal friend and co-worker to many. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Elbert Houston Goyne and Betty Jean Chunn Goyne, an infant brother, Joey Goyne, and infant grandson, Caiden Gavin. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Debbie Halterman Goyne, two daughters, Brooke Goyne and Dana Gavin and her husband, Roy, two sons, Heath Goyne and his wife, Glori, and Chad Womack and his wife, Ashley. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tyler Houston Goyne, Makenzie Gavin, Kailyn Gavin, Kamryn Goyne, and Landri Womack, his brother, Mike Goyne and his wife, Katheryn, brother-in-law, Ricky Halterman, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, a host of extended family and many friends.
