Bryan Paul Alford passed away at the Carpenter House Hospice in Baton Rouge at 8:42 PM on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the age of 34 with his mother by his side holding his hand.
He was a resident of Baton Rouge and once a resident of Palos Verdes, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a Senior Field Service Engineer with Intergraph Corporation for the past 5 years.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 11:00 AM until religious services at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel conducted by his uncle Steve Hyatt.
Survived by his mother, Dorothy Jane Hyatt Nicholson; father, Layton Harris Alford, Jr.; stepfather, Douglas L. Nicholson; uncle, Steve Hyatt of San Antonio, Texas; aunts, Mary McCarroll and Sandra "Sue" Wiggins.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clinton Hyatt, Sr. and Dorothy Calvert Hyatt; paternal grandparents, Layton Alford, Sr. and Thelma L. Alford; 2 uncles, Clinton Hyatt, Jr. and Samuel T. Hyatt. He attended St. Luke's Episcopal Elementary School and graduated from Texas Military Institute in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Remington College in Baton Rouge. Special thanks to TNCC Nursing Staff at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and all nursing staff of Carpenter House Hospice, especially Trygve "Trig" Olson, R.N.. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospice, Carpenter House, 10615 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA
