Burl "Butch" Spiers Jr., 69, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017. He was born April 29, 1948 in Hamilton, Ohio, son of the late Betty (Stivers) Garland and Burl Spiers Sr. Butch was a veteran of the US Air Force. He ran Channel 6 Productions and was a Lawrenceburg EMT and a member of the Jeep Club. He worked at General Motors. He is survived by his father, Burl (Shirley) Spiers Sr. of Hamilton, OH; wife, Kristy Spiers of Lawrenceburg, IN; son, Christopher Spiers of Lawrenceburg, IN; 2 daughters, Jamie (Chris) Earls of Guilford, IN, Andrea (Adrian Lester) Spiers of Fishers, IN; 3 brothers, Kerry (Martha) Garland, Steve Spiers, Dwayne Spiers, 7 sisters, Cheryl (John) McHenry, Gwen Spiers, Ollie Heichelbach, Barbara Rogers, Misty Spiers, Burlyn Santiago, Karlene Garcia, 3 grandchildren, Zach Earls, Meghan Earls, Madelynn Lester. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Garland; step-father, Hugh Garland; and his sister, Cynthia Spiers. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11 am, with Mark Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
