C. L. "Bill" Belzer, age 89, of New Boston, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Rhodes Funeral Home with Pastors Joe Belzer and Jim Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow at Bucklin Masonic Cemetery, Bucklin, MO. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Rhodes Funeral Home. Memorials have been suggested to Bucklin Masonic Cemetery and may be left at or sent to the funeral home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, Missouri 64628. On-line registry at www.rhodesfh.com

C.L. "Bill", son of Frank Belzer and Melissa B. (Jennings) Belzer, was born on November 18, 1928 near North Salem, MO. Bill was united in marriage to Charlotte Ann Voyles on June 29, 1953 in Kansas City, MO. She preceded him in death on December 1, 2012. Bill served his country in the Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #57, Bucklin. In his spare time he enjoyed, camping, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by one brother, Harold Belzer and wife Cheryl, St. Charles; one sister, Mary L. Almond and husband Kenneth, St. Catharine; five grandchildren, Terisa Lingafelter and husband Travis, Dawson, IL; Rebecca Neys, Rockton, IL; Nathan Belzer and wife (Rebecca), Wapello, IA; Eric Belzer, Seattle, WA; and Trevor Belzer and wife Karla, Dixon, IL; six great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Sylvia Belzer, Wapello, IA; and Carla Belzer Williamsburg, IA; and close friends, Dave and Melinda Cook, as well as several nieces, nephews and others relatives

Bill was also preceded in death by three sons, Terry L. Belzer, William G. Belzer, and Jerry Fitzgerald; one infant grandson; six brothers, Clyde Belzer, Allen Belzer, Pete Belzer, Marlin Belzer, Jerry Belzer, and Larry Belzer; three sisters, Lottie Turner, Ilene Bailey, and Betty Geissler
