Of Jackson, MI, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Jackson County Medical Care Facility, at the age of 92. Chuck was the son of Calvin Montgomery and Bertha Belle (Gipson) Willis, born September 13, 1924 in Hazen, Arkansas. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary Jane (Bowles) Willis; three children, Charles Calvin (Lisa) Wills Jr., Sandra (Glenn) Chinavare, and James Alan Willis; seven grandchildren, Neil Chinavare, Melissa (Adam) Finkbeiner, Ross Chinavare, Corey Willis, Brandon Willis, Nicholas Willis, and Nicole Thompson; three great-grandchildren, Shane Thompson, Nolan and Margaret Finkbeiner. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Thompson; grandson, Timothy Thompson; his parents; five sisters, and one brother. Chuck served his country during WWII in the United States Coast Guard. He retired after 20+ years from Ford Motor Company as an electrician. He was a member and deacon of Parma Baptist Church for many years. Chuck was an avid hunter, and fisherman. He also enjoyed gardening, and music, especially hymns. A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm; Pastor Richard Griffith officiating, interment Spring Arbor Cemetery. Memorial contributions for those who wish may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00.
