Cameron Scott Caruthers, 28, entered the gates of heaven on May 22, 2017.



Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Parkade Baptist Church, 2102 N Garth Ave, Columbia, MO. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors.



Cameron was born June 16, 1988 in Columbia, MO to Allison Bradbury Caruthers and Jeff Caruthers. He grew up in Columbia deeply loved by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and extended family. He graduated from Hickman High School in 2006. He then joined the United States Army. Upon completion of one station unit training at Fort Knox, KY, he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. He was then assigned to the 1st Brigade combat team, 3rd squadron 73rd Calvary regiment, B troop. He was deployed to Iraq August 2009-August 2010. Cameron was awarded various military medals for valorous service during Operation Iraqi Freedom.



Cameron recently graduated from Missouri Welding Institute in Nevada, MO and was pursuing a career as a welding contractor. He was known for his sense of humor and making his friends and family laugh. Cameron had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. He loved children and they loved him. He deeply loved his daughter Kiley, niece and nephews.



He is survived by his daughter, Kiley Wadlow; father, Jeff Caruthers (Susan Garton); mother, Allison Bradbury (Mark Wallace); grandmother, Bonnie Sue Caruthers; sister, Danielle Caruthers; aunt, Stacey Baker (Micah) and their children, Logan, Olivia and Jackson and two uncles, Todd Caruthers (Janet) and Kevin Hufferd (Tracy) and their son, Zakary.



He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dan Bradbury and grandfather, Norris Caruthers.
