Mr. Carlie Galen Wilson, age 78, of Kennesaw, GA., passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Mr. Wilson was born on September 17, 1938 in Caines Stone, Kentucky, a son of the late Elvis Wilson and Grace Garner Wilson.

Mr. Wilson retired as a mechanic from the Milford Ohio Board of Education. He was of the Baptist faith and served as Deacon in his church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, reading his Bible, refinishing antique tools, and working in his garden. He also was a very talented craftsman and made furniture for his home and family. Though he loved and enjoyed all aspects of his life, his greatest joy and accomplishment came from being a husband and father; Carlie was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Along with his parents Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by one son Danny Wilson, sisters Nancy Weddle, Caridean Beal and infant brother Johnny.

Carlie is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Daws Wilson; three children, Jeff Wilson, wife Jenny of Kennesaw, GA., Stephen Wilson, wife Michelle, of Florence, KY., and Melissa Gentile, husband Pascal of Vancouver, WA; two brothers, Dennis Wilson, wife Halle and Bobby Wilson, wife Barbara; a sister, Elizabeth Caudill, husband Mike of Nancy, KY.; four grandchildren, Daniel Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Carlie Jane Wilson, and Liam Gentile; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Carlie Galen Wilson will be held at three o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, March 26, 2017 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow 3 pm Tuesday March 28, 2017 at Bradley Pleasure Church Cemetery in Somerset, KY.

A visitation with the family will be held from one o'clock in the afternoon until the time of service on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the funeral home.
