96,passed away on February 9th, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie G. Noto, parents, Epifanio (Eddie) Valenti and Josephine G. Valenti, and son-in-law, David R. Nackashi.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia N. Nackashi of Raleigh, NC, and son, Dennis J. Noto (Kelly Taaffe), her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Sarah Noto, David P. Nackashi (Elizabeth), and Laura N. Murrieta (John) and great grandchildren, Rachel Nackashi and Ryan Murrieta. She is also survived by her sister, Vivian V. Friscia, and nephew, Kenneth Friscia.
Carmen was a member of Christ the King Church and previously Sacred Heart Church for many years. She was active in many organizations over decades including St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer, Red Cross Volunteer at James Halley VA Hospital, CTK Catholic Women’s Guild (past president), Jesuit High School Alumni Mother’s Club, Hillsborough County Catholic Women’s Club, Sacred Heart Academy Mother’s Club, Hibiscus Garden Circle (past president), Society of Military Widows Chapter 35, GFWC Tampa Women’s Club, and the choir at Sacred Heart Church. She was a recipient of the Handmaiden of Our Lord Award from the West Hillsborough County Catholic Deanery in 1995-96.
A Memorial Mass will take place Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm at the Christ the King Church Chapel with a gathering to follow from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm in the Church’s McLoughlin Room, 821 S. Dale Mabry, Tampa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ the King Church or Jesuit High School, 4701 N. Himes Ave, Tampa, FL 33614 or Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
