Carvell was born on August 22, 1947 and passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019.

Carvell was a resident of Urbandale, Iowa at the time of passing.

He graduated in 1965 from O'Gorman High School in Sioux Falls, then attended the South Dakota School Of Mines and Technology.

Carv served in the US Army in Vietnam.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waukee. Cremation will follow services and inurnment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN at a later date. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm on Thursday, May 16, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waukee where a Vigil Service will be held at 7 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wildwood Hills Ranch, 2552 Union Lane, St. Charles, Iowa 50240.
