Celia Madrid Telles 95, passed away May 19, 2015

Mrs. Telles was a resident of Anthony, New Mexico. She was born of Pascual Madrid and Paula Holguin February 15, 1920 at their farm in Chamberino, New Mexico off highway 28. Mrs. Telles was from a family of 10 siblings Genivieve Medina, Ernesto Madrid, Joe Madrid, Max Madrid, Elvira Jacques, Manuela Madrid, Pascual Madrid, Hermerlinda Singh, and Guillermina Chavez.

She was a member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church; attended Alto Vista elementary school and graduated from Valley High School in 1937 now known as Gadsden High School. She continued her education at NMSU for 2 years where her major of study was Business Administration.
Mrs. Telles worked for Columbia Furniture in El Paso, Texas for 10 years as Head Bookkeeper and 5 years for Civil Service as Administrative Assistant under Colonel Cummings.

Mrs. Telles met and married her sweetheart, Louis Preciado Telles while he was enlisted in the United States Army Air corps. Louis and Celia traveled as a military family with a small son, Fred, in tow. The family traveled throughout England while in the military. After their return to the states, they settled the family in Amarillo, Texas where they added another child to the family, a beautiful daughter, Theresa.
Louis and Ceila returned the family back to El Paso where they resided for 17 years. In the following years Louis and Celia returned to the farm of her birth where they built their dream home. Louis and Celia were married 56 years before his passing in 2001.

Mrs. Telles is preceded in death by her loving husband Louis P. Telles, and her granddaughter, Amanda M. Telles and all her siblings.

Mrs. Telles is survived by her loving family: Her son Fredrick Louis Telles and wife Mary Cecily and grandson Casie Edmond Telles; Her daughter Theresa Celia Aschbacher and husband Gary David and granddaughter Andrea Celia Aschbacher and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Rosary: May 20, 2015 at Martin Funeral Home West, El Paso, TX
Visitation: 5:00-9:00 p.m.
Rosary: 7:00 p.m.

Funeral mass: 9:00 a.m. May 21, 2015 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Anthony, New Mexico with Father Andres presiding.

Interment will be at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery following Mass.

Pallbearers will be nephew and godson Hector Madrid, nephews Jorge and Jaime Medina, Norberto Madrid, Joe Franco, Victor Chavez, and Max Telles Dykeman and extended family, Kenny Aschbacher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Indar Singh, Leon Aschbacher, Sammy Perez Sr. and Albino Flores.
