Cevon M. McLean of Lothian, Maryland died in a tragic car accident April 9, 2017 at the age of 59. Cevon was a graduate of the Valley Forge Military Academy/College and the University of Maryland and worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for nearly 30 years.

Cevon was the beloved husband of Mary Basil McLean and a loving father to Brett and Cara McLean. He is also survived by his parents Claire McLean and Colonel Charles and Sue McLean USAF (ret); sisters Chari McLean and Commander Christie Applequist, USN (ret); brother Colonel Chip McLean, USMC; and several nieces and nephews.

Cevon had an indomitable, electric spirit, a contagious laugh and was a constant source of humor for all who knew him. He was a collector of classic cars, loyal friends and incredible stories. Cevon was also renowned for his keen business sense and iron determination to succeed where others wouldn't dare try. Cevon's devotion to loved ones was likewise without limit . He was a fierce protector and always ready to rescue someone in need.



A memorial service and reception will be held on Thursday, April 20th at 1030am at St. John Neumann Church, 620 Bestgate Rd, Annapolis MD. Cevon was an avid supporter of our military and memorial donations may be made in his name to the Semper Fi Fund (https://semperfifund.org/donate/).
