Charles was born on November 22, 1924 and passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017.

Charles was a resident of Texas.

Mr. Schackmann enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp and served in the following Theaters: North Africa, South Atlantic, and South America. He was trained in cryptography and became a Crypt Analyst, encoding/decoding intelligence during World War II. He worked in Communications Development and proved flight capabilities of B-25 aircraft. Mr. Schackmann was discharged in 1945.

Services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (9643 Ferndale Rd. Dallas, TX) at 11:00am, Monday May 22, 2017, to be followed by a military burial service at D.F.W. National Memorial Cemetery. Service
