Charles Edward Misamore, AZC, USN, (ret), passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017. A native of Lancaster, Ohio, he was born June 28, 1935 to Edward and Laura (Croume) Misamore, one of four children. Chief Petty Officer Misamore served his country honorable and proudly in the United States Navy for 29 years, 20 years of which were on active duty. His final duty station was as naval security specialist at NAS South Weymouth, MA. Upon retirement from service, he assumed a position as a St. Mary’s County deputy sheriff in Maryland. Later he accepted a position with the Maryland State Police as a mechanic. He moved to Spring Hill, Florida 32 years ago from Mechanicsville, MD, where he also had served as a volunteer firefighter. Chuck, as he was known to most everyone, loved to ride motorcycles and also loved traveling in his motor home with his beloved wife of 59 years, Cecilia A. “Ann” Misamore of Spring Hill, Florida, who survives him. He is also survived by his daughter Roberta “Bobbi” Mellies and her husband Herb, Weeki Wachee, Florida; brother Tom Misamore, Corpus Christi, Texas; sister Susan Misamore, Beverly Hills, Florida; grandson Charles Mellies, Spring Hill, Florida and great grandson Jack Mellies, Bloomington, Illinois. In addition to his parents, Chuck was also preceded in death by his sister, Martha Wiseman. Friends will be received on Wed., May 3, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill, Florida, with a Catholic prayer service at 6:30 P.M. led by Deacon Roland Desjardins of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. Inurnment at Florida National Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the United States Navy will take place on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. Services entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill, Florida.
