Charles Edward Peacox, ‘June Bug’, son of the late Lawrence Peacox & Maybelle Peacox, began his life’s journey on August 13th, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended public schools in Tulsa, a graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School class of 1969 and attended Tulsa Community College. Charles began his career in IT with American Airlines in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was transferred to North Texas in 1984, where he managed and coordinated computer programming for the company for over 20 years.



He was united in Holy Matrimony to Lois Louie-Peacox, the union was blessed with one child, Stephanie Peacox. Later he was united in Holy Matrimony to Artemese Boxley-Peacox on October 23rd, 1982, the union was blessed with one child, Danielle Peacox-Cross.



Charles professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas where he and his family fellowship and are dedicated members.



He was a natural athlete and loved the competition of sports. A skilled swimmer, who was on the high school swim team and was a certified lifeguard, also played softball and golf throughout his life. In Charles’ spare time he was often perfecting his ‘secret’ sauce and hosting gatherings to enjoy his barbeque. Traveling with the family was also a highlight of his life.



Charles stepped into eternity on Friday, April 28th, 2017 and will truly be missed as a devoted husband, loving Daddy and a thoughtful PawPaw.



Charles is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Peacox & mother, Maybelle Peacox (Owens), and sister Wanda ‘Dimple’ Whitlow-Kimbrough.



He leaves to cherish his memory his Wife of 35 years, Artemese Loraine Peacox, and two daughters, Stephanie Alicia Peacox of Tulsa, OK & Danielle Elyse Cross (married to Brandon Cross) of Carrollton, TX and two Granddaughters, ChaLois Kenique Woods and Lauren Alexandria Criner, as well as, a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



Let not your heart be troubled; Ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
