CHARLES OTTO "CHIZZY" REED, SR. LAKE PROVIDENCE, LOUISIANA Cox Funeral Home Lake Providence, Louisiana LAKE PROVIDENCE, LA - Funeral services for Charles Otto "Chizzy" Reed, Sr., age 91 of Dermott, Arkansas and originally from Lake Providence, Louisiana, will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at First United Methodist Church of Lake Providence, Louisiana with Reverend Rich Cockburn officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Lake Providence City Cemetery of Lake Providence, Louisiana.. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Lake Providence. A time of visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM at First United Methodist Church of Lake Providence. Chizzy passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Vincents Infirmary of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Shepherd Reed; his mother, Mary Constant Reed; daughter, Rebecca De Bessonet; brother, Robert Hall Reed; three sisters, Frances Louise Reed, Carolyn Reed Hawkins and Mary Lucille Reed Bell. He is survived by his wife, Delma Marie Reed of Dermott, Arkansas; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Otto Reed, Jr. and Lea Anne Reed of McGehee, Arkansas; grandson, William Reed McMurray of Dallas, Texas; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Nicholas Otto Reed and Heather Reed of Tillar, Arkansas; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Mary Reed Melton and Josh Melton of Jonesboro, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Madalyn Day and Annabella Day of Tillar, Arkansas; Tyler Melton of Memphis, Tennessee; Bryce Melton, Abby Williams and Jayce Williams of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Serving as pallbearers for services will be Nick Reed, William McMurray, Bobby Hawkins, Matt Meadows, John Courson and John Brown.
