Charles R Garner was born in Patterson, Arkansas November 1932. Chuck passed away March 7, 2017 in his home after a battle with Mesothelioma. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank A. Garner and Nettie Irene (Jones) Atkins, wives Sue Garner and Billie Garner, son Frank Garner, a daughter Janet Purtell, and brother Marion Garner. He is survived by daughter Diane Harber, sons Rusty Garner and Curtis Brown, grandchildren Cliff, Robert, Dillon, Sue and Lee, 9 great grandchildren Kylie, Taylar, Chandler, Aiden, Julia, Brysyn, Anthony, Alexis, Jesse and 1 great-great grandson Peyton. Chuck is also survived by his beloved brother and sister-in-love Rev Wm. and Edna Garner. Chuck was a retired truck driver (with many Safe Driving Awards), a Mason, a Kiwanian and a Korean War Veteran.
Visitation at 2:00p and service at 3:00p on Saturday, March 18, 2017 both at First Southern Baptist Church at Crossroads in Winthrop, Ark. Military burial on Monday March 20, 2017 10:00a at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas, Texas beside his first wife Sue Garner.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Foreman Senior Center 221 N Bell St Foreman AR 71836 attn: Lisa Schuetz is requested. Chuck ate many lunches and enjoyed fellowship and games there.
