Charley D. Douglas, 78, of Lavaca, AR died April 2, 2015 in his home. He was born May 22, 1936 in Lavaca to Weaver Douglas and Ruby Beatrice Kuykendall Douglas. He was a Rancher and Businessman; a member of West-Ark Church of Christ and former Deacon; graduate of National School of Meat Cutting, Toledo, OH; a 1954 graduate of Fort Smith Senior High School; a Basketball Official; a Charter Member of 188th National Guard Unit.

Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Smith Mortuary Chapel with interment at Garden of Memories in Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sedalia Douglas of the home; two sons Thomas Douglas of Sherwood, AR and Brent Douglas of Lavaca; one daughter Brenda Wewers and husband Greg of Muldrow, OK; one sister Virginia Jeffrey of Santa Paula, CA; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one step grandchild; three step great grandchildren.

Pall Bearers will be Sara, Mark & Cole Reames, Alisha & James Dunn, Kristen Douglas and John Douglas.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
