You never know how special a person is in your life…until that person is gone. On Sunday, October 2, 2016, Cherry Lee Williamson closed her eyes and entered into eternal rest. Cherry L. Williamson was born on July 20, 1953 to Royal Williamson and Isabella Gaskins Williamson. She attended the public schools of Florence County, and she was a 1971 graduate of JC Lynch High School. She also attended Florence-Darlington Technical College, where she majored in Business Accounting. As Cherry entered adulthood, she began working at Baxter in Lake City, South Carolina. Later, she worked at E.I. Dupont in Florence, South Carolina, where she remained until she retired in 1997. After retirement, she spent a great deal of time working as a caregiver for various people. For the last couple of years, Cherry was heavily involved in the school system. She was a volunteer at JC Lynch Elementary School in Coward, South Carolina until she became ill. At an early age, she joined Olive Grove Baptist Church in Coward, South Carolina, where she served faithfully in several capacities. Cherry was always a kind-hearted, strong-willed person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish her memory include: her only daughter, Cherika Williamson; two grandchildren whom she loved very much, Jayla and Trey; her mother, Edna M. Williamson; siblings, Mary E. Williamson, Brenda Young, Rochelle Rembert, Patricia (Raymond) Benton, Jean Warren, Annette (James) Moore, Daisy L.
