Christian William "Kip" Felentzer, 84, of Zephyrhills died peacefully surrounded by family on March 11, 2015 of heart disease.

Kip was born in Jeanette, Pennsylvania to Helen and Frederick Felentzer. He served in the Korean War and graduated from the University of Tampa. He later taught with the Department of Defense in Stuttgart, Germany where he met and married Judith Jacoby. Upon the birth of their daughter Erin, they returned to Tampa where he spent most of his career teaching math at Robinson High School. Kip was a sports enthusiast and loved nothing more than beating his older brother Fritz at golf. A devoted father and grandfather who believed his grandchildren to be the smartest and most gifted of athletes, Kip spent much of his retirement on the golf course and in the company of his dog Hannah.

Kip is survived by his former wife, Judith Felentzer, of Tampa, his daughter, Erin Felentzer, daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Charles Taylor, grandchildren Catherine, Lillian and Abigail Taylor, all of Atlanta, Georgia, and his brother, Frederick "Fritz" Felentzer, of Palm Coast, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings John Felentzer and Patricia Melina. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 7, 2015 at the Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
