Christine "Chris" Unita Roberts, 80, of Midland, TX passed away on Wednesday evening, July 12, surrounded by her daughters, just as she would have wanted, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Chris was born in Kermit, TX on November 18, 1936. She was raised in Kermit and graduated from Kermit High School in 1955. She was loved by all classmates, was a cheerleader and was voted the gal with the best figure. She met the love of her life, M.P. "Snookie" Roberts, in the summer of 1956 and they were married on August 10, 1957 in Seminole, TX. They celebrated 56 years together before Snookie went to be with the Lord in 2013. They made their life together in Midland starting in 1961 where she was a homemaker for many years with her family and later worked as a Secretary for the Midland County Sheriff's Office retiring in 1998. After retirement she continued to volunteer and serve in several organizations in Midland including the Ladies Auxillary at Midland Memorial Hospital, Meals on Wheels, and the Chamber of Commerce. She had a servant's heart and loved the Lord and exemplified that in her actions of helping others.

Survivors include her 3 daughters, Janna Rivera of Fort Worth, TX, Sissy Shelton of San Antonio, TX and Kristi Hinkle of Grapevine, TX; two sisters, Birthel Parker of Longview, TX and Marilyn Whitaker of Whitehouse, TX; sister-in-law Bobbie Roberts of Abilene, TX; 5 grandchildren, Tiffany, Andy, Adam, Alex and Francee; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
