Christopher Conrad Parfitt, 65, OF Manchester, died August 23 at his residence after a short illness. He was on born in Manchester on June 25, 1952, the youngest child of Dr. John W. Parfitt and Edith (Rowe) Parfitt. He was educated in local schools. Christopher had a varied work history in Manchester and in York County, Maine, including construction, paramedic/firefighter, commercial fishing, and working on a coffee and fruit plantation in Kona, Hawaii.

He is survived by a brother, John Parfitt, of Manchester; a sister, Rebecca Parfitt, of DeKalb, IL; by his three children, Sarah Parfitt, of Pittsburgh, PA,; Hannah Parfitt, of West Hollywood, CA: and Ian Parfitt and his wife Lucie, of Rochester, NY; a nephew, Christopher Parfitt, and his wife Cindy, of Union City, NJ; niece, Susannah Bernheim, and her husband Caleb Kleppner of New Haven, CT; a grandniece, Lila Kleppner; and a grandnephew, Isaac Kleppner.

Christopher had an adventurous, good-hearted, creative nature. He loved cats, birds, golf, photography, Monty Python, The Firesign Theater, Claude Monet, James Thurber, music (from Beethoven to the Kinks), his family, and his many friends, who all miss his unique,amiable spirit, his word-play and good humor. He was an expert surfer and he climbed in the White Mountains in winter. Chris enjoyed roller-coasters, motorcycles, lobster and ice cream. Rest in peace Dear Christopher.
