Chester resident Christopher David Rhoads lost his battle with cancer Thursday morning June 8, 2017, passing away at his residence at the age of 47.

Born Christmas day in 1969 in Redwood City, CA to David and Jo Ellen (Severson) Rhoads, Chris was raised and educated in the San Francisco Bay area graduating from Aragon High School in San Mateo as a member of the "Class of 1987". On July 18,1998, he married Debbie and to this union two daughters were born. Although this union ended in divorce the couple remained best of friends.

Chris Had been employed as a Truck drive in the construction industry where his CB handle was "Cracker Chris" and "Grumpy" prior to his disability for some 23 years. He had a great love and respect for the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing and target shooting.

In his passing, he leaves the pride of his life his two daughters: Ronnie and Rylee both of Chester, brothers; Anthony and his wife Elena of Tracy, CA and Bryan of Las Vegas, NV, a sister; Kimberly Rhodes of Tracy along with four nieces and two nephews. A Celebration of Chris's Life is planned for Saturday, 2:00PM June 24, 2017 at the Chester Community Center located behind the Chester Park.
