Clair passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016.

Clair was a resident of Media, Pennsylvania at the time of his passing.

He was a graduate of Penn State University.

A retired U S Army Colonel, Clair was part of Tom Brokaw's 'Greatest Generation' and served with the 101st Airborne Division in WWII, seeing action at Normandy on D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes Forest of Belgium and Operation Market Garden in the Netherlands. For bravery he earned the Bronze Star for valor as well as 3 Purple Hearts for wounds received in combat. He also served in Korea and culminated his distinguished 27 year Army career as Professor of Military Science at the University of Pennsylvania.

The Family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10am. Pastor Dan Cunkelman will officiate. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA. VFW Post #5821 & The American Legion Post #0407 will conduct military services Saturday morning.
